Rudra Linga – Symbol Of Science

Rudra Linga is very much popular among the devotees of Lord Shiva. It is also commonly referred as Pindi, which is composed of two distinguish part known as Bana and Vedi or Salunka. It is considered as one of the most scared symbols and is very auspicious for the devotees of Lord Shiva. The symbol of Rudra Linga can be found in all temples of the deity. 

Rudra linga is made up of an elliptical, rounded and iconic image based on a circular base (peetham). As per the many researchers, the circular base is a representation of Parashakti, the manifesting God’s power. There are many of the reasons that have been given behind the symbol of Rudra Linga. As per the scientific reason, Rudra Linga is a representation of storage space of large power energy in it, due to this reason there are total number of 207 atomic reactors are available and all those atomic energy has a same shape and that is of Rudra Linga. It helps in maintaining the temperature of all reactors with the continuous water flow similar to the dharakadaram that can be seen in all temples of Lord Shiva right above the Rudra Linga.
