Angarika is termed used for Chaturthi that falls on Tuesday. Angarika is also referred for the planet Earth (Bhumi) or the Mars (Mangal). However, Lord Ganpati is the controlling deity of Earth as well as Mangal. It is believed that Mangal and Lord Ganpati both has same complexion. It’s a common believe that on angarika, the frequency of Ganesha reaches to earth in huge amount from Mangal. However, most of the time the energy that comes from the Moon gets destroys. Therefore, it is believed that performing ‘angarika sankashti’ and ‘angarika vinayaki’ gives equal result as of sankashtis and vinayakis performed yearly.
Angarkia is a religious pledge is performed for five periods or prahars, in which one prahars consist of 3 hours. The individual wants to perform the rituals at this period can take a meal at the time of moonrise and considered as a part of ritual.
