Ganesha & Ridhhi Siddhi

In Hindu tradition, Lord Ganesha is a divine power that helps in removing obstacles from the life of his believer or devotees. Some of the devotees of the lord believe that he is a bachelor; however as per some of the Hindu cultures, Ganesha is a married and has two wives.

The story in some of the mythological book of Hindu culture is very interesting behind his marriage. It says that, due to the large elephant head of the deity, no single women were ready to marry Ganesha. Besides him, as all the other gods were having a companion, which made him angry. Due to this reason he started causing problems at the time of marriage of other gods.

He used to cause numbers of problem in the marriages of the gods. After getting fed up of such behavior of Ganesha, all gods went to Lord Brahma to complain about it and to find a solution for it. In order to solve the problem of other gods and to please Ganesha, Lord Brahma created Riddhi and Siddhi, the two most beautiful women and gave them to Ganesha in marriage. Since, that time onwards it has been believed that the devotees of Lord Ganesha will also gets the blessings of Riddhi and Siddhi, wife of Ganesha as well as goddess of wealth and intellectual respectively.
